Klondike Solitaire
Klondike is the classic Solitaire — the version most people mean when they say “Solitaire”. Build the four foundations from Ace to King, one per suit, by working through seven tableau columns and the stock. This page remembers your preferred draw mode; you can also jump straight to Turn 1 or Turn 3.
Klondike Rules at a Glance
- Build tableau columns downward in alternating colors.
- Build foundations upward by suit, from Ace to King.
- Only Kings (or sequences led by a King) may occupy empty columns.
- Face-down cards flip automatically when uncovered.
- The stock can be recycled once it runs out — as many times as you need.
Winning at Klondike
Prioritize uncovering face-down cards, especially from the long right-hand columns, and avoid sending low cards to the foundations before their tableau work is done. When everything is face up, auto-complete finishes the game for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
What win rate is realistic in Klondike?
With Turn 1 and careful play, 40–55% is a strong sustained win rate. Turn 3 rates are typically 15–30%. Unlimited undo can push both much higher.
Does using Undo or Hint count against me?
No. Undo and hints are free to use and are a great way to learn. Your statistics simply record whether the deal was finished.
Can I replay the same deal?
Yes. The Restart button re-deals the exact same shuffle, so you can retry a deal that beat you.
